Alex is sixteen years old and has started kendo from the age of thirteen. He wanted to begin martial arts and this led him to kendo. Leon is also sixteen years old now and has started kendo because of his father who also practices kendo. Wilhelm says he started kendo at the age of twelve because it looked cool.
In Europe, kendo is still a minor field for competition. Under such circumstances, it is very nice that juniors find kendo by themselves and start because of admiration.
