2017.12 KENDOJIDAI
There are various kendo tournaments in Japan, and about 250 company kendo club teams participate in the All Japan Business Kendo Championship. Every year there is Kanto Business Kendo Championship in June, the All-Japan Business Kendo Championship in September and the All-Japan Business Women’s Championship in March.
In 2017, the All-Japan Business Kendo Championship celebrated its 60th anniversary. Through round-table discussions by the core players of the powerful business groups and an interview with the founding president who established a kendo club, we will explore how working adults approach kendo and balance their work.
The main players of powerful business groups in the Kanto area have gathered and exchanged their opinions on the problems and doubts that business team swordsmen typically face. They frankly discussed how to become strong and whether work and kendo are compatible.

Born in 1987, from Chiba Prefecture. Joined Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance after graduating from Awa High School and Hosei University. 5th dan.
Iwakawa Chikara (Fuji Xerox)
Born in 1989, Akita Prefecture. Joined Fuji Xerox after graduating from Akita Minami High School and Waseda University. 5th dan.
Saito Shogo (NTT)
Born in 1990, from Akita Prefecture. Joined NTT after graduating from Akita Minami High School and Chuo University. 4th dan.
Shutoku Nobuaki (Toyo Suisan Kaisha)
Born in 1992, from Fukuoka Prefecture. Joined Toyo Suisan after graduating from Fukuoka University Ohori High School and Hosei University. 4th dan.
